Terms of Use

Effective October 13, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and AHEAD ("we", "us") for using the AHEAD app and website. By creating an account or using AHEAD, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use AHEAD.

1. Who can use AHEAD

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
• Keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person per account. Don't pretend to be someone else.

2. Community rules

AHEAD only works if it feels safe to share. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. Don't post, comment or send anything that:

• is sexual, nude, or sexualizes anyone, especially minors;
• harasses, bullies, threatens or shames anyone;
• is hateful toward people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected trait;
• shows or encourages violence, self-harm or eating disorders;
• promotes illegal activity, drugs or weapons;
• is spam, a scam or an ad;
• shares someone's private information or a photo of them without their consent;
• infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.

These rules also cover communities: their names, descriptions and icons. Whoever creates a community is responsible for keeping it within these rules.

Any member can report a post or block a member from the post's menu, and report a community from inside it or from Find a Community. Blocking hides that member's content from you right away. We review reports within 24 hours. We remove content and communities that break these rules and suspend or permanently ban members who post or run them.

3. Your content

• You own the photos and text you post.
• By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute that content within AHEAD so the app can work. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups that expire on their own.
• Only post what you have the right to share.

4. The AI coaches

• Money: the Money coach isn't a licensed financial adviser. Stocks, funds or strategies it mentions are ideas to research, not recommendations to buy or sell. Investing involves risk, including losing money. Do your own research and consider talking to a licensed professional before making financial decisions.
• Body: calorie and macro estimates from meal photos are approximate and can be wrong. Plans aren't medical advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new diet or exercise program, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have a history of eating disorders.
• Mind: the Mind coach isn't therapy and can't help in a crisis. If you're thinking about harming yourself or are in danger, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US), call your local emergency number, or find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
• AI can make mistakes or sound more confident than it should. You're responsible for the decisions you make.

5. AHEAD+ subscriptions and free trials

• New members get a 3-day free trial of the whole app. After the trial, posting, your friends feed, commenting and the coaches require an AHEAD+ membership. It costs $12.99 per month or $129.99 per year in the US. Prices in other countries are shown in the app before you buy.
• Free trial: new members get a 3-day free trial. If a subscription is attached to the trial, it starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price for the same period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
• Canceling: on iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → AHEAD. Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription.
• Refunds: payments made through the App Store are handled by Apple under its refund policy. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Promo codes: codes we hand out (for example at launch or in giveaways) can add free days to your trial. Each member can redeem one code. Codes have no cash value, can't be sold, and may have a limit on uses or an expiry date. We may cancel codes that were obtained or used unfairly.
• Invite rewards: a friend who joins with your invite link gets 7 extra free days. When they make their first post, you get 30 free days, up to 12 times. Rewards are free time only, with no cash value. We may remove rewards earned through fake or duplicate accounts.
• If prices change, we'll tell you in advance, and the new price only applies from your next renewal.

6. Using AHEAD fairly

Don't misuse AHEAD. That means no hacking, scraping, overloading the service, getting around blocks or limits, reverse engineering, using bots, or using the coaches to produce harmful or illegal content.

7. Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time from You → Delete account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other members at risk.
• If we ever shut AHEAD down, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

8. Disclaimers

AHEAD is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that AHEAD will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content from other members or the coaches is accurate. Streaks, plans and estimates are there to motivate you, not to guarantee results.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, AHEAD won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of AHEAD. Our total liability for any claim relating to AHEAD is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as AHEAD grows. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and we'll tell you in the app if the change is significant. If you keep using AHEAD after an update, you're accepting the new terms.

11. If you got AHEAD from the App Store

• These terms are between you and AHEAD, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for AHEAD or its content.
• Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for AHEAD.
• If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. Apart from that, Apple has no warranty obligation for AHEAD.
• Apple isn't responsible for any claims you or others have relating to AHEAD, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. AHEAD, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and handling those claims.
• You confirm you aren't in a country subject to a US government embargo or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
